Primes
Primes is a game where there are two types of balls coming which have 7 or 9 printed on them. They are to be collected in bowls filled with prime-numbered balls or non-prime numbered balls respectively which swap each other by mouse-click hold and release. Have fun :)
Editor's take
Primes is the most quietly cerebral game in our math puzzle hub: a game built entirely around prime numbers, played at whatever intensity you bring to it. The core challenge — identifying, combining, or hunting primes depending on the mode — sounds like homework until the scoring and pacing turn number theory into a high-score chase. In our playtests the game revealed a lovely learning curve: you start by recognizing the small primes everyone knows, and within a session or two you are internalizing primality tests for two-digit numbers almost without noticing, because the game rewards the speed that only recognition brings. It is genuinely educational in the best way — the math is the gameplay, not a wrapper on it. The presentation is minimal and the sessions are short, making it a perfect tab for the numerically curious. If Math Squares is arithmetic as a grid puzzle, Primes is number sense as a sport.
How to play
Hold release the mouse to swap bowls between blue and red balls
Strategy tips
Memorize the two-digit primes up to 97 — recognition speed is the entire skill ceiling. Quick test: even numbers, anything ending in 5, and digit sums divisible by 3 are never prime, which eliminates most candidates instantly. Under time pressure, trust the elimination rules rather than attempting full division.
