BlockBlast rides the current wave of block-blasting puzzle games, and it earns the trend. You get the familiar drag-and-place block board, but with a blast-clearing twist that makes completed lines feel punchier than the quiet clears of older block puzzles. In our playtests the game stood out for its rhythm: pieces come fast, decisions stay simple, and the board state never has time to go stale — it is the snackable end of the block puzzle spectrum, where TenTrix sits at the contemplative end. Touch controls are well tuned, with pieces snapping confidently even on smaller phone screens. We would point new players here before anywhere else in the block puzzle hub: the feedback is immediate, the rules are self-evident, and the first high score chase hooks within five minutes. Veterans will eventually want the deeper planning of the classic variants, but as an on-ramp BlockBlast is excellent.

Strategy tips
Blast clears reward setup: it is better to complete two lines with one piece than one line twice. Keep one open lane across the board so large pieces always have a landing spot.
