Editor's take
Block Blaster keeps the drag-place-clear core of the Block Blast formula with its own piece set and pacing, and in our playtests that slight unfamiliarity turned out to be the point: it resets the habits you built in other block games without demanding you learn new rules. Pieces arrive in threes, the board is the familiar 10x10, and combos pay out for planning placements a turn or two ahead. The difficulty is honest — boards are always solvable with care, and dead ends feel like your fault, not the game's. If BlockBlast is your daily driver, this is the ideal second car: close enough to feel familiar, different enough to make you think again.
How to play
Drag and drop cube blocks into an 8x8 grid Fill rows or columns with blocks to eliminate them If there are no remaining blocks the game is over Blocks cannot be rotated making it more challenging and uncertain
Strategy tips
Play for the two-line clear: placing pieces so a single drop finishes a row and a column simultaneously is where the score multiplies, and it forces the multi-move planning that makes the genre good exercise. Keep the board's center open as long as possible — edge and corner builds are recoverable, a clogged center is not. Before placing, check all three queued pieces together; the best spot for piece one often depends on where piece three will need to go.
